Dr. Eduardo Ubieta, DMD, FAGD, DICOI
Dr. Ubieta completed his first dental education in Havana, Cuba in 2007. Not long after, he relocated to Miami, FL, where he assisted several education courses before attending Nova Southeastern University (NSU) School of Dentistry, where he completed two years of a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), earning his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in the US. During these years of hard work, he was honored by NSU, with the Memorial Award Dr. Leonard M. Sakrais for Excellence in General Dentistry in 2012. A year after, his passion for dentistry led him to earn his fellowship in the ICOI and IDIA, and he founded his Dream Practice: Sunset Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and later, in 2014 his digital dental laboratory: Ceramic Precision Dental Lab, where he serves as the Clinical Director. During the following years, he has continually attended numerous courses in different aspects of General Dentistry, completing more than 1000 hours of continuing education and passing rigorous examinations being awarded Diplomate status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2016 and Fellow of the Academy General Dentistry in 2017. During the end of 2021 he founded a newer and bigger location in South Miami area to better serve his patients: Connect Dental Care, based on a genuine philosophy of creating true connections with patients beyond the dental chair.
Dr. Ubieta loves the opportunities that newer technology provides for taking great care of his patients. One area of particular interest is with CEREC technology and 3D images for better diagnosis. CEREC one-visit crown technology is an area where Dr. Ubieta has grown to love, due to its great restorative capability, accuracy and the reduction of dental visits for his patients. Among others world top technologies incorporated to improve the quality of our treatments rendered are Digital Microscopy for Root Canal Therapy and Microsurgery, Laser and the impressive Digital Scan iTero who opens the door for orthodontic treatment with clear alignments (Invisalign). He is also proud to announce his 1st Place award for Best Presentation in 2017 implant scientific event titled: "Keeping Gingiva Architecture During Immediate Implant Placement". Today he is one of the leading dentists providing the highest quality dental service in the Miami and South Miami area. Dr. Ubieta focuses on building long term relationships and providing quality care for the whole family in a happy, relaxed, and professional environment. His greatest pride is his family. His wife, 2 loving daughters, and son are the core of his life and professional success.
Dr. Javier Rodriguez
Dr. Javier Rodriguez del Rey studied at the University Finis Terrae in Santiago, Chile where he graduated in 2015 achieving the Diploma of Dental Surgery. Shortly after he planned to expand his knowledge and abilities in dentistry Dr. Javier Rodriguez del Rey was chosen for an externship at the University of Anahuac Mayab in Merida, Mexico. His passion for his career let him help a vast variety of patients in need through different treatments from preventive procedures to complex restorative and oral surgery treatments over the several months of the externship.
During the year of 2016, he began following his dream while searching for new ways to improve and learn by moving to the United States where got accepted into Cleveland Dental Institute. For 2 years of AEGD residency where he broadened and improved his techniques in General Dentistry, he then earned his Degree of Dental Surgery (DDS) in the United Stated. Integrating to Connect Dental Care later that year as an Associate Dentist he was mentored by Dr. Eduardo Ubieta. Sharing the same ethics, passion, and love for their careers in Dentistry.
His continuous enthusiasm and incentive to learn has made him become a member of the Academy of General Dentistry where he inspires to further his education in the career he loves.
